Community Gardens

The Tehama County Community Action Agency has now funded two Community Gardens in Tehama County.  Our Community Gardens give families in Tehama County ways in which to maximize their food resources and save money.  In addition, community gardens provide an opportunity for families to access healthy nutritious food at a low cost.

Our gardens also provide a platform for job training activities which would include garden management, drip irrigation systems, soil testing and organic composting.

Capacity Building Workshop

Weatherization
Weatherization Services for the Low Income, Elderly, or Disabled in Tehama County are available on a limited basis starting in December 2011. Contact Mike Baldwin at (530) 528-4046 or mbaldwin@tcdss.org for more information, or check out the Weatherization section of this website.
 

FOOD SHARE PROJECT
Any 501(c)3 or faith based organization is invited to participate in the Food Share Project, which will provide access to low cost food purchases and delivery. If interested in more information call 530-527-6159 
 

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
You may qualify for FREE tax preparation services. Check out our calendar for available dates. Call 530-527-2611 to find out if you are eligible and set an appointment!
