Capacity Building and Technical Assistance

The Tehama County Community Action Agency provides Technical Assistance for partner agencies and agency staff to build their capacity and resources in meeting the needs of Tehama County’s low-income population.  This is also done through community events, educating local and state leaders on the goals and purpose of the Tehama County Community Action Agency and our goal of increasing self-sufficiency for low-income community members.

What is the best revenue mix for your nonprofit? If you know you haven't tried everything and want new ideas, or you're new to nonprofits and need an overview of the basics, join us as we explore all the various fundraising methods and help you pick the best strategy for your agency. Participants will leave the workshop with an armload of resources and a draft fundraising plan.

"Mission Driven Earned Income"
Friday, June 19 9:00 to noon
Red Bluff - Tehama County Department of Education
Did you know that nonprofits can earn money selling products or services and use the revenues to fund the nonprofit's mission? Mission-driven earned income can be a part of every nonprofit's revenue generation strategy. Earned income activities offer opportunities to expand your work in the community, secure unrestricted funds and reduce dependency on fickle funding sources. This program will help nonprofit leaders learn how to identify opportunities within their current operations, test the feasibility of a concept and adapt their systems for the strategy while staying on mission.
